Guzum

August 2025 - February 2026
Eskişehir

Guzum is a project named after the Turksih phrase ‘Guzum (my dear/my lamb), you want it, so why wouldn't I do it?’, which mothers often say. Clothes that remain unused or are discarded despite being wearable are redesigned by young designers, transforming them into a creative production tool for fashion. The design process highlights young people's capabilities in terms of both aesthetics and production practice, encouraging sustainable production methods.

The project aims to create a platform that brings together democratic forms of expression and fashion. Designs inspired by rights violations are compiled into a collection and create a long-term memory space through digital archiving. Thus, the project enables young designers to permanently document and share their productions.

Guzum brings together fashion, design, gastronomy and public art practice; it enables young people to actively participate in the production process. The democracy fashion show, online meetings and workshops for sharing experiences form important components of the platform. By combining aesthetics and sustainability, the project increases the visibility of young designers and contributes to the development of alternative production models in the field of fashion.

Pavyon Art

Pavyon Art is an independent initiative focusing on young artists and cultural actors aged 18–35 living in Turkey. While not directly involved in artistic production, it focuses on empowering young people who face difficulties in gaining visibility and asserting their rights, by conducting work in areas such as artists' rights and cultural rights.

Established in 2022, the initiative develops projects in various fields, from politics to economics, while maintaining its core focus. Through its collaboration with the Toy Youth Association, it continues its activities by establishing a local organisation and advocacy mechanism specifically in Eskişehir. Since its inception, it has been working on a non-profit basis to generate data for the field, develop advocacy mechanisms, and ensure visibility.

Under Pavyon Art, various projects are carried out, such as BaristaCulture, Mushroom, and the Creative Culture Network. These projects create interdisciplinary experience areas for young artists and cultural actors. Continuing to support local production and offer alternative models in the field of contemporary culture through national and international collaborations, Pavyon Sanat continues to work in line with its mission.
