Deng û Reng
September 2025 – March 2026
DIYARBAKIR
The Deng û Reng project aims to increase the participation of young people in creative cultural production processes and to strengthen their sense of belonging to their mother tongue by providing them with Kurdish dubbing training to 15 teeenagers aged 14–18 living in Diyarbakır. The young people will learn voice-over techniques with professional trainers and dub selected animation characters in Kurdish; the resulting works will be shared in a public screening (at least 3 works). At least four of the participants who successfully complete the training will continue production in collaboration with Zarok TV; thus, the project will achieve a sustainable structure that increases the visibility of the Kurdish language in the cultural sphere.
Children First Association
The Children First Association was established in Diyarbakır in 2017 by bringing together competent individuals in their respective fields, such as lawyers, journalists, educators, and human rights defenders.
