Solofest 6: On the Brink of Disappearing

Mordem Art aims to revive and reintegrate forgotten artistic forms of local peoples, particularly Kurdish culture, into society. It has been organizing Solofest with this same motivation for six years. The festival's 2025 theme, "On the Brink of Disappearing," explored not only extinction but also ways to resist, remember, and reproduce "together" on the brink of extinction.

The festival, which featured artists from various countries performing solo plays, contemporary dance, performances, and ritual-based works, aimed to strengthen local and international interaction through workshops, panels, and intercultural encounters, connecting artistic production to social memory and cultural continuity.

Mordem Art and Ecological Life Association

The Mordem Art and Ecological Life Association is a civil society organization that contributes to the arts and culture scene as an arts center in Diyarbakır. It provides a space where local artists and art lovers can access cultural and artistic events and realize their projects. It also brings cultural and artistic activities to communities (rural areas) that lack access to the arts. Mordem Art offers workshops and training in various art forms. It organizes screenings, performances, panels, seminars, international festivals, film screenings, concerts, exhibitions, and festivals in various art fields to introduce, integrate, and share the artistic disciplines of different cultures, and to build a collective memory.
