Accessible Films Festival

20-26 October 2023
4-5 November 2023
ANKARA, ESKİŞEHİR

Accessible Films Festival brings qualified current examples of independent cinema to accessible venues with the option of audio description and detailed subtitles. The festival will hold accessible events such as interviews with directors and film crews, panel discussion sessions, workshops, and award ceremonies. Communication channels such as the festival's website and its social media accounts are designed based on principles of accessibility. It is ensured that everyone has equal access to cinema through appropriate physical environment and tools. All screenings at the festival are held with audio description option for those who cannot see, and detailed subtitle options for those who cannot hear. Events such as interviews, panels, and award ceremonies are held with a sign language interpreter on site. All festival venues are selected to be accessible. Within the scope of the festival, the prominent films of Turkish and world cinema are presented to the audience under various themes. The festival also has many side events such as interviews held with film crews, workshops on film production and panel discussion sessions.
