Tissue_Lab

June 2022 - February 2023
Antalya

Using the collected visual data, Tissue_Lab intends to observe the change in the forest's biological structure following the 2021 fires in Antalya's Manavgat region and produce new textures from the resulting information. Plant and soil samples are collected in order to determine the extent of damage and subsequent renewal following the fires. Utilizing Nvidia's styleGAN AI technology, it creates hybrid and non-existent tissue samples in the liminal space between life and death.
