THE WORLD WE CONSUME: DOCUMENTARIST ECOLOGY MEETINGS

Travelling Documentaries Hit the Road!

Documentarist is coming to your city! The festival will tour 15 cities across Turkey until the end of the year, featuring a selection of documentaries addressing ecological issues. Supported by the European Union under the CultureCIVIC: Culture and Arts Support Programme, the "The World We Consume: Documentarist Ecology Meetings", supported by the European Union under CultureCIVIC, will host meetings across Turkey – from Van to Çanakkale, and from Rize to Antakya – with the participation of environmental organisations and activists. These gatherings will bring local ecological issues to the table, featuring screenings and discussions of films addressing shared concerns.

Launched last December as part of the ‘Which Human Rights?’ Film Festival, the project will visit Van, Adıyaman and Mardin in April, Bergama and Antakya in May, and will return to Istanbul in June as part of the 19th Documentarist. It will then travel to Gaziantep, Rize-Fındıklı, Çanakkale, Hopa, Artvin, Datça, Milas and Menteşe-Muğla. Everyone in these cities who defends life and nature is invited to these gatherings, which will take place around free documentary screenings.
